Project overview
A ground-up rebuild of a legacy banking app — reimagining onboarding, payments, and budgeting around speed, clarity, and trust for 2M+ customers.

The challenge
A legacy bank was bleeding young customers to slick fintech rivals with a cluttered, slow app.
The strongest competitive pressure came from fintech products that made common banking tasks feel immediate. The concept therefore focuses on reducing ceremony around everyday actions while preserving the reassurance users expect when money is moving.
The product response
A ground-up redesign with biometric login, instant transfers, smart budgeting, and a calm, glassy UI.
Biometric access, short transfer paths, spending insight, and a calm UI system work together as a single experience rather than separate features. Accessibility and consistency are treated as product infrastructure, not final-stage polish.
Key product decisions
The interface direction is anchored in three concrete product decisions from the case-study scope.
Biometric login & 3-tap transfers
Reduce sign-in friction while keeping authentication visible and reassuring before users reach sensitive financial tasks.
Smart budgeting with spend insights
Turn raw transaction activity into understandable feedback so users can act on spending patterns rather than simply view them.
Accessible, WCAG-compliant UI system
Make contrast, focus, labeling, hierarchy, and state communication part of the core system so accessibility scales with the interface.
Success criteria & validation targets
This is a concept / representative case study. Outcome figures are framed as targets or validation criteria and should not be read as verified client results.
Tools, stack & product focus
The stack reflects the implementation-aware nature of the work: interface decisions were framed so they could translate into reusable, accessible front-end patterns rather than static presentation only.
What this case study demonstrates
This concept demonstrates mobile banking UX, onboarding, money-movement flows, budgeting interactions, accessibility, and design-system structure for financial products.
